Prime Minister hosts Nordic Prime Minister meeting attended by the President of the European Commission
SWEDEN, October 29 - Alongside Mr Kristersson and Ms von der Leyen, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, the Prime Minister of the Faroe Islands Aksel V. Johannesen, Icelandic Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Åland’s Head of Government Katrin Sjögren and the Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers Karen Ellemann participated in the meeting.
In connection with the meeting, the Nordic prime ministers and heads of government adopted a declaration on the importance of Nordic cooperation based on the Nordic countries’ strengths as democracies, economies and shared values.
The meeting was held in conjunction with the 2025 Session of the Nordic Council, which Sweden and the Riksdag are hosting.
